Our snowy backyard, finally!
We have been hoping for snow for a while now, I for one was really excited to see Kakazi’s response to it. And this week we got some proper snow! Every morning I put Kakazi in her little snow suit and head to the garden to explore, she loves it! Continue reading
❤ ❤ Copenhagen getting ready for Xmas
It’s been a long time, eh? I’ll just get to it. A little while ago, after a rough couple of months, I thought to myself, f*#k it, I’m going somewhere..anywhere!” I decided it was time to get away from all the things that were (and still kind of are) keeping me from making things and blogging and generally staying sane. I hope at this point I’m not speaking to myself as it been a while since I have blogged or sewn anything. In case you haven’t heard, my Kakazi turned ONE last Friday 🙂 I am so proud of the little lady she is becoming, I knew I was going to find a way to celebrate her first birthday, regardless of what else was going on in our lives. Perfect for these cute shorts from The Purl Bee, the awesome thing about this project is that not only is this a free pattern, it comes in different sizes for BOTH adults and kids! How generous is that? Thank you Corrine.
I love sewing, but I don’t particularly like all that other stuff that comes with it, all the cutting!!! I feel like I waste so much time on cutting pattern pieces out and I get very frustrated by how long it takes. So I figured I could make the process a little less painful by getting better tools. You know those projects you keep putting off because you don’t have all the supplies you need? Like bias tape? I do. Because it is expensive, and it does not always work for the fabrics I have on hand, especially if they (bias tape and fabric) were bought in different stores. And there are so many tutorials on how to make your own bias, so you just know I’m going to be all over that. Continue reading
